धर्म

I’m far from perfect, but I’m enjoying the upgrades of consciously living a life in alignment with my own dharma, my life purpose. And in my journey, this includes my experience in Private Aviation.

I realise that of all the wild things I’ve shared over the years, private jets are very controversial. Well, nothing makes sense without context, so I’ll be sharing a little about my background.

I was blessed to land in this work since (fortunately for me) they were having trouble finding someone who not only fit the job requirements but could speak English and pass the entrance exam. For that I’m grateful to my international mom for teaching us since an early age.

It was fortunate to not only join the Aviation world, but the executive branch with its high standards in regard to design, excellence and customer experience. I know I manifested this because I also envisioned myself in the corporate world as a teen, even though that’s not a common route for architects. Maybe it’s my highly self-critical upbringing, but I just always knew I wanted to strive to the top somehow, and this has been a quite serendipitous career path.

However, when I first arrived, I was a young and shy student who didn’t know much about how to be in this world, and the challenges of the corporate environment, catering to the high level requirements of the Private Aviation industry as well as of VVIP customers got very real very fast. I learned so much the hard way, and I thrived in so many others.

After 6 years with Embraer Executive Jets, I got married and moved to the US – now becoming myself, a third culture kid, immigrant to a fourth culture. There, I joined Gulfstream Aerospace as a Principal Designer, which was a huge accomplishment for me as a Brazilian with “síndrome de vira lata” (mutt syndrome), a term we colloquially use in Brazil since we were conditioned to think of ourselves as lesser than “first world” nations.

Me, as a multiethnic Brazilian, from immigrant parents, who felt so odd growing up and could never quite fit in anywhere, found myself traveling the world designing jets for prominent executives and leaders.

The experiences in my career & personal life gave me the confidence to adventure and start our own company. So in 2019, I uprooted once again, this time from the US to London, joining my twin sister. There, Diana, Eric and I, three Earth Dragons, founded Lie Alonso Dynasty.

People don’t understand how we can mix spirituality with our work. Well, building our company has been a huge leap of faith, a leap we take daily. Bringing coherence to our backgrounds is the epitome of living a dharma-driven Life.

It’s easy to take the path of avoiding Life, with its ever-present lights & shadows, and call it spiritual enlightenment. What’s powerful is embracing your humanity and bringing it to the next level.

I’ve decided to stop shying away from who I am and do what my soul calls me to do, even though others superficially coming across my path will have short circuits, as they cannot fathom the harmonics we have come to be.

To me, Private Aviation is an endless journey of discovery, where the skies become a canvas for innovation, artistic, and spiritual fulfillment. • Travel for the soul, appreciating the jóia de viver – the jewel of living.

When in doubt, go with the most High.

I only serve the Supreme.

This is my dharma.

Discover the Ultimate.
